Explore, defend, and fight your way through an alien-infested ship

Starship Survivor is a strategy game. It is an immersive VR game blending free-moving action combat, strategy, and tower defense. Set on the starship Ouroboros, your mission is to restore power and reclaim the ship while fending off horrifying monsters that lurk in the darkness.

In Starship Survivor, you wake up from cryogenic sleep to find that your ship has turned against you, and your crewmates have been transformed into deadly creatures. The goal is to restore power to each room while defending against waves of enemies using both weapons and defensive structures.

Strategize or perish

In Starship Survivor, as you explore, you gather crystals, which are key to upgrading your weapons and defenses. The gameplay relies heavily on strategic decisions. Turning on the lights too quickly may leave you vulnerable to monster attacks while staying in the darkness means your defenses won’t function, and you must rely on your flashlight and senses to survive. Each level is procedurally generated, offering unique challenges in every playthrough.

This adds to the entirety of the game’s replayability, and the combination of resource management, combat, and exploration makes the game an intense experience. You’ll feel the tension build as you manage the ship's energy and fight to survive against the growing threat of monsters. The free-moving VR mechanics enhance the immersion, making it feel like you're truly aboard a doomed starship.

However, the learning curve may be steep for new players, VR-only experience limits accessibility for non-VR players, procedural generation can lead to unbalanced levels, and combat may feel repetitive over time. Resource gathering can be tedious in later stages, lack of a clear narrative may disconnect some players from the story and it also has limited variety in enemy types

Light or darkness

Starship Survivor is a thrilling mix of strategy, action, and suspense. Players are constantly balancing the need for light, defense, and upgrades while fending off terrifying creatures. The game’s free movement in VR offers a sense of urgency and realism as you restore power and explore dark rooms filled with lurking threats. With procedurally generated levels and challenging enemies, the game offers a fresh experience with every playthrough.

Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
